Hi! My name is Deanna Marshall. I have been teaching middle school band for twelve years. Prior to coming to Auburn this year I taught in Georgia. I am originally from Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School and Auburn University with my bachelors degree and masters degree in music education.
I was in the Auburn University Marching Band for five years and played in all performing ensembles during my time in college. I am a percussionist but I also play all band instruments........some better than others!
Before coming to Auburn I taught four years at Cartersville Middle and High School as the Assistant Band Director in Cartersville, GA. I then moved to LaGrange to take a position as the band director at Long Cane Middle School teaching sixth, seventh and eighth grade band. My favorite part of band is the very beginning when I get to teach students how to assemble their instruments and play the first notes to make a song. I look forward to working with each and every student and parent! War Eagle!!!!
